What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the Maison des Métiers d'Art as a treasure trove of unique, high-quality artisan creations. The ever-changing collections and the beautiful historic setting are consistently praised, making it a must-see in Pézenas. While the space can be a bit limited, the welcoming team and the affordability of many pieces add to the positive experience.
"This gallery is a treasure. Every time you visit it will be at least slightly different and sometimes totally changed. The curator pulls together an excellent collection of highly varied art of excellent quality. You will find, sculpture, jewelry, woodworking, painting and more. Some items are whimsical and some are quite dark. I believe everything is for sale and some things are not so expensive. I try to drop in whenever I'm in town."

"A must-see place in the city where French Craftsmanship is represented at its true value. The works of the Artisans are thus exhibited on the emblematic Place Gambetta, in a large building/shop which was once the Consular House of Pézenas, and which is now classified as a National Historic Monument. There you will find unique pieces, carefully made by hand in a large exhibition space. All the creative techniques are covered, according to the know-how of each artistic profession, you will find decorative objects in ceramic, leather, paper, iron, porcelain, etc... Jewelry, sculptures, tableware, fashion accessories, furniture, various and varied decorative items... A precious, delicate and poetic universe is offered to you. The rooms are large and bright, there are so many things on display that you don't know where to look. Be careful with bags, when you move between the large tables, space is limited and an accident can quickly happen! Please note that you can also buy the objects presented, but the prices remain very affordable. This nevertheless gives a taste of the Crafts, which are very well represented in the Workshops, present in the alleys all around. So if you like the atmosphere that emerges from this exhibition, do not hesitate to continue your journey and discover the crafts present throughout the city, you will certainly make very nice encounters, and find articles directly, at much more attractive prices!"
