"This place is a hidden gem right in the middle of St. Anne Square. It can be a bit intimidating to enter, as there are always people on the steps at the entrance. I decided to go in through the side door across from the tourist office.

Inside, I discovered a delightful church. The stained-glass windows alone make the visit worthwhile! The architecture is stunning, and if you can read French, you’ll learn about the impact WWII had on this building.

If you’re looking for statues of St. Anthony, you’ll find one here. He is the Patron Saint of travelers and lost items (among other things), and I enjoy seeking him out in churches I visit. You’ll recognize him as a young friar holding the infant Jesus, often with a lily. Typically found at the back of Catholic churches, in this Basilica, he is located to the right of the altar."

What a delightful church I discovered. The stain-glass windows are worth the trip, alone! Such beautiful architecture, and if you are able to read french, you can learn about the influence WWII had on this building.
