What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the Richerenches Truffle Market for its authentic experience and incredible value, offering fresh truffles at a fraction of city prices. While the omelet tasting is noted more for atmosphere than flavor, the overall consensus is that it's a must-visit for any truffle lover seeking direct access to producers and a taste of Provençal tradition. The charming village and museum add to the appeal.
"There were a lot of people this Saturday, December 2nd, for the public opening of the truffle market, and we were not disappointed. This is the first time we've bought good-sized whole truffles, the prices are much more reasonable than in all the shops, that is to say half, a third... The small pots of truffle pieces are a few euros, a quarter of the price of some shops in the area, for a much higher quality. We don't get ripped off here. It helps to understand the value of buying as close as possible to the producers, even if it means making the trip on purpose."

"A traditional market specializing in truffles... it's a journey!
Don't miss the truffle omelet tasting (more for the unique atmosphere than for the quality of the omelets, which are apparently loaded with truffles but lack flavor!)."

"If you're a truffle lover, the Saturday morning market is a must-see. In the trade aisle, you'll smell the aroma of truffles. And for individuals, numerous producers will allow you to satisfy your sweet tooth. Also worth exploring is the beautiful village of Richerenches."
