"Je suis curiste dans la ville pour trois semaines. Je me suis fait agresser il y a trois jours sur la place Colbert à 17h45 devant de nombreux témoins. Insultes et menaces de mort. Il y a trop de SDF dans votre ville: certains sont alcoolisés d’autres délirants. Comme celui qui voulait m’arracher la tête! Sympa quand on est curiste et que l’on vient pour se soigner! Je précise que je l’avais même pas regarder, ni même adresser la parole. Pour l’instant je suis écœurée et je n’ai même plus envie de sortir dans les rues de la ville. Il faut absolument que vous fassiez quelque chose pour assurer la sécurité du public dans vos rues. La sécurité des personnes dans l’espace public est primordiale. Je ne reviendrai jamais dans cette ville où l’insécurité est réelle. Curistes, touristes : soyez vigilants!"

As a tour coach driver, I took a group of retirees to the Petit Train, followed by a guided tour of the Corderie Royale. I received a parking ticket for the sole reason that I didn't stay inside, even though my coach wasn't in the way and my phone was visible on the windshield!!
After reporting it to our various tour operators, the town has been removed from the tours.
We'll opt for the town of Saintes, which is more welcoming to tour coaches!"
