"What a spectacular cemetery. I'm always amazed when I enter a French cemetery, what wonderful tombs. What a sense of gothic. This cemetery is practically on a hill so from the center of the cemetery you can see the whole city, wonderful to say the least. There are a few famous tombs, Flaubert in particular. It's not very well kept but not terribly well maintained either, I've seen much worse. Overall it is a must visit if you go to the city."
