"In Rueil-Malmaison, there is a sailing club based on the banks of the Seine, a few hundred meters from Bougival (Yvelines). In tribute to the great sailor who died Saturday in the Irish Sea, Deputy Mayor Jacques Baumel has decided to name this nautical base Eric-Tabarly. With this gesture, the Rueil-Malmaison town hall wishes to pay tribute to the great sailor who worked for ten years in premises it had made available to him. Tabarly had indeed set up his publishing house Pen-Duick on Avenue Paul-Doumer, to mark the release of one of his books."
