Thoughts and Facts about the Bordeaux Wines of Saint-Julien
Love me some St. Julien appellation; really a big fan of Ducru-Beaucaillou, Gruard Larose and Beychevelle. Though of course, Leoville is just fantastic stuff. Recently able to have a 95 Barton and that stuff was just....delicious is a good word.

"Truly a great wine estate that makes amazing wines. One of my favorite Bordeaux wines but often very expensive"
Jeffrey Horwitz
"Chateau Leoville Las Cases is a Wine producing chateau located just within the village limits so it's not that remote as the other chateaus. As with all wine producing estates, they have several hectares of vineyards and is one of the larger estates. Their estate has remained unchanged since the French revolution. Their wine is of the classified type. The chateau is actually the private residence of Monsieur Delon who has the most extensive private cellar in all of Bordeaux. and is still lived in so it's a private area. There's a visitor's area and a nice wine tasting area within the chateau. There's parking and toilets for your convenience."

"Beautiful chateau and wines. Very friendly staff. Worth a visit.
These three brothers, including Léoville, were historically one family, but later separated and took their own names. Las Cases is one of the oldest estates in the Médoc. The Delon family has owned Las Cases for 20 generations. They still own a massive 98 hectares of vineyards, part of which borders Pauillac, the neighboring cousin of Latour."
