"Saint-Quentin Town Hall is the emblematic monument of Saint-Quentin, a town with a rich architectural heritage. Construction began in 1331 and was not completed until 1509. Its Flamboyant Gothic façade is probably one of the finest examples of late medieval civil architecture in the Aisne region. It may be the work of Colard Noël, the king's architect.
The octagonal bell tower that tops the building was added in 1759. It houses a carillon of 37 bells dating from 1924.
The building was remodeled during the third quarter of the 19th century, particularly on its rear façade, then the interior was restored in an Art Deco style by municipal architect Louis Guindez in 1926.
