Meet Samoëns, France ✨ We spent six days here, including Christmas, and I would love to do it again! We caught fresh snow and sunny days skiing the Grand Massif, with great Savoyard cuisinie — couldn’t ask for a better Christmas day. ✨ #grandmassif #travel #frenchalps #france #christmas #holiday #traveltok

Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about the Grand Massif's immense ski area and stunning Mont Blanc views. The resort is praised for its family-friendly atmosphere and the charm of Samoëns village. However, some note that wind can impact lift operations, and the resort can get crowded during peak holiday periods.

"Amazing place to spend your days.
A bit crowded on holidays, but there's still a lot space to play."

Joshua S

"Nice easy access to telecabine up to main ski area. Quite a lot of other lifts closed when I was there due to wind which cuts off access to the wider skiing areas of Flaine and makes return to Samöens difficult. However there is an excellent free bus service if you get stuck at other areas such as Morillon. So no need to panic!"

Peter Simes

"The place is really beautiful, especially the flaine side. Amazing, with those views to Mont Blanc. Nice runs, if the snow is good then the ski experience is top. There were lots of people in the first week of march but we didn't have to wait for more than 5 min in any lift. Lifts are a bit slow I would say, but not a big deal. I really recommend this resort. Attached is a video of a black run, really fun (there is tons of blue runs also for a chilly ski)"
