Word of warning: the public toilets can get very dirty so parents should check them out before giving junior the green light.
In July and August the old fort is open to the public and although it's an interesting ten minute distraction some may not wish to pay the €2 entry fee. Free entry for kids under 6. Some decent photo opportunities nonetheless.
There's also a tiny sandy beach which is probably the reason why the parking area is always full in summer. A lifeguard is in place for most of summer and there's a pebble beach and pedestrian access to the other beaches along the coast but access may depend on sea conditions."
