The key is in reading the tidal charts so you know when you can walk out to the Ile and when you need to be off by (unless you like to swim back 😉)
You may find, as we did, many people lining up and waiting for the tide to recede in order to be 'first' over. Really there's no need to do so, let the first wave of people rush over, follow behind by 20minutes or so thus providing you with a much less crowded experience."
