What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Cimetière du Vieux-Pays is generally seen as a pleasant and serene place for remembrance, with diverse burial plots and lush green spaces. However, some visitors have noted issues with upkeep, including unweeded paths and non-functional water fountains, suggesting a need for improved maintenance and staff attention.
"Yesterday I went to the cemetery at noon. What a nasty surprise: the gates were closed even though the opening time was posted at 8:30 a.m.! When contacted by phone, the security company replied that they had forgotten to come and, what's more, it took 30 minutes to get from Aulnay! This was unacceptable and a complete lack of respect, especially for people who had traveled from the north of France!

"Very pleasant environment despite the grief that won't leave me. Note that for the past two years there has been neglect in the upkeep of the green spaces. Several water fountains no longer work, forcing us to transport the watering cans located far from the location of our deceased. Clear lack of staff."

"A lush, well-maintained cemetery with different plots of land according to beliefs. The only downside is that the cemetery should be open until 7 p.m. in the summer, like some cemeteries."
