"Val d'Isere is a nice ski resort offering nice views of the surrounding mountains. The resort is clean and tidy offering nice shops and restaurants, coffee places. You can also buy local food. Many hotels and chalettes all depends on your budget. If you are staying in Tignes or Val Claret is really worth for a day trip to Val d'Isere, even if you don't practice winter sports. All busses are free between and inside these resorts. If not sure which bus lines to take just ask the bus drivers, they speak English some better some less but you'll get along. Take the La Daille gondola and funicular up the mountain, nice views."

"Great resort, which has invested properly in new lifts over the years. The lift staff are generally very helpful and friendly and the pass-buying process has been improved substantially with the app now functioning properly. The shuttle bus is very effective at facilitating movement around the resort.

Many intermediates and all beginners ought to avoid skiing down into the centre or la Daille at the end of the day (take the lifts down, instead) because the slopes are relatively challenging, particularly at the end of the day. Beware when skiing the bottom half of la Face (Stade Olympique) that it is iced at the beginning of the season for racing, and the ice will poke through from time to time.

There's a wide range of non-skiing activities, such as snow-shoeing, swimming and walking.

Be prepared for the expensive restaurants and bars!"
