"I have contacted the prefecture many times by email to apply for a long-stay visa and never received a response. I've called also but am told I can only contact them by email. I went to the office but was told I could not talk to anyone. It's not possible to ask questions about the visa application process or to find out about the status of an application.
I understand we are now in Covid times but in the years before Covid, I never received any responses to my emails asking visa questions.
It seems there is no way to get help from this office whose mission is to help the public."

Waiting for them to mail the card for me for almost 2 weeks, no where to ask. And when I called them, they hanged up the phone in 3 seconds and said you should not call here????
