What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Eze Village is widely praised for its stunning medieval architecture and breathtaking panoramic views from its hilltop perch. Visitors adore wandering its charming, narrow streets and the beauty of the Jardin Exotique. However, the significant crowds, especially during peak hours, can detract from the experience, making it feel congested.
"Eze is a charming, medieval village that is located just 15 minutes by public bus from Nice on the French Riviera. It is a maze of narrow, picturesque cobble stone streets and medieval archways that aside from the occasional tourist shop, feel as if you have stepped back in time. The village itself is free to explore but at the very top there is a garden that has an entry fee via ticket machine. We visited on a offseason weekday so it was very quiet and perfect for taking photos. Only one of our group visited the garden. Our advice is to save your money for a leisurely lunch at one of the excellent restaurants. Keep an eye on the bus timetable, wear practical, non slip footwear and allow plenty of time to get back down the hill so you don't miss your ride back."

"Beautiful village atop a hill along the French Riviera - of course made worse by the hundreds of tourists attempting to get around is small streets and narrow alleys, but worth seeing if you can as it is a remarkable bit of structural history. The botanical gardens are the main thing worth visiting in the village."

"Beautiful medievil village. A must visit when you are in Nice. But be prepared to walk a few steps. No cars in the village. Parking possible just outside town. Cute Shops and Cafés and a lot of talented artists around."
