"We arrived in the morning around 6:30 a.m. to possibly witness the emergence of baby leatherback turtles, and we were lucky enough to find them emerging from the sand and heading towards the ocean for a long journey. The presence of a woman from a turtle protection association made the experience even better because she explained to us why we shouldn't help the baby turtles when they were struggling (they develop their muscles from the nest to the ocean, and helping them by carrying them to the water would handicap them later in the water). Everyone was respectful, and our presence probably scared off the birds, which allowed the whole group to reach the sea safely.
It was a wonderful experience."
