What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Reviews for the Batumi Public Service Hall are polarized. While many praise the staff's helpfulness and the efficiency of services like weddings, others report significant issues with language barriers, rudeness, and poor service quality. The building's unique architecture and views are consistently admired, though some visitors note discomfort due to weak ventilation when crowded.
"The worst place I have ever been in my life. I have dealt with different government offices in different countries, but I can confidently say this was the worst experience. The employees show complete indifference toward people. Their work is extremely poor. They don’t speak or understand any foreign languages, which means they cannot understand people or their requests to make changes in documents. They take money to issue a document in one day, yet even after a week they fail to provide it because of their own mistakes. They made errors six times in a one-page document. They speak to people rudely, deliberately using only their local language so that others cannot understand them. One employee kept repeating the same thing in Georgian while staring at me arrogantly, refusing to let me speak. I was trying to explain that they had made a mistake in the document, but she simply didn’t understand—and the issue was not about a language barrier; they genuinely lacked understanding. I don’t know if there is a worse place on earth, but this one certainly feels like the worst."

"The Staff is Super Nice! And so helpful! Huge respect for those who work there and has to deal with hundreds even thousands of people each day! It's quite crowded and the AC is weak but other than that, it's great! With an amazing staff!"

"3rd window, morning shift 31.07 - worst agent ever. Started shouting that i dont know georgian. Politness goes both ways, could have politely declined and refered to a different agent, decided instead to act out. Bad education and bad manners."
