Reviews Summary

Visitors find the Borjomi Museum of Local Lore to be a uniquely charming and affordable stop, particularly noted for its extensive taxidermied animal collection and local art. However, many reviewers point out a significant lack of English labels and a general need for upkeep, suggesting it's best approached with managed expectations for a quirky, rather than polished, museum experience.

"Quite a worn down museum in desperate need of upkeep. The ticket office had about seven staff members sat around chatting. Most of the objects don’t have any labels even in Georgian, much less in English or Russian. Asking question about the objects was met with reluctant answers and a suggestion that we should have purchased a guided tour for 30 lari. If your idea of a good museum visit is aimlessly walking around with no idea what anything is - this is the right place for you."

"Amazing place! I have never seen any exhibits like these: scarecrows if bear, squarell, deer, birds, collection of butterflies, wokves, foxes and etc. It's not big, but interesting and tiny old building. Kids friendly. My son even bought there a ring :)"
