Reviews Summary
Bassiani is a legendary techno club in Tbilisi, celebrated for its unique former-swimming pool venue, powerful sound system, and inclusive atmosphere. While many praise the music, friendly crowd, and reasonable prices, some visitors report issues with selective door policies and an inconsistent vibe.
"Got this club recommended by some locals. Saying it is "something youve never experienced before". So we decided to have a look.
At the door bouncer made us wait and a worker judged our outfits(were both from germany and dressed according to german techno standards). They made it look like not everyone gets in, which is good to see.
However once we were inside, it became clear anyone was allowed inside. Joggers, caps, whatever, you name it. It did not feel safe at all, the vibe was extremely off. Music was trance/techno-ish but a slow bpm that was awkward to dance at...
Cocktails were good, staff was friendly (maybe too friendly by letting everyone in?...) and DJ played actual LPs. Prices were good.
However the vibe was unsafe and off which is really the most important part."

"This was our first time visiting Bassiani and it was everything we expected :) we went on a Friday (resident event) around 3am and there was no queue. Overall great sound system, inclusive and friendly crowd that makes you feel safe, fantastic line up with multiple dancefloors. Easily top 3 techno clubs I've visited (and we came from Berlin :)).
It seems like many of the 1-star reviews came from people who were denied entry or kicked out because they didn't respect the rules inside (e.g. no photo policy). Definitely recommend giving it a try if you are not looking for a typical cocktail bar night out in Tbilisi"

"I read their comments and thought it would be bad, but I actually liked it. Unfortunately, the biggest hall was closed — maybe it’s off-season, or they just happened to catch that day. Still, the atmosphere itself was pretty cool, and we had no issues with security. You just need to follow the techno dress code. I can’t say the bouncers look friendly from the outside, but we personally had no problems with them. Overall, it was a great experience."
