While the journey involves a bumpy road, most agree the historical and spiritual experience is well worth the effort. Some mention ongoing renovations, but this doesn't detract from the overall peaceful ambiance.

"Thinotes Holy Dormitory is a beautiful and peaceful place to visit. The atmosphere is calm and spiritual, surrounded by lovely views and serene nature. It’s perfect for a quiet walk, reflection, or simply enjoying the beauty of the area. Truly worth seeing if you’re nearby!"

"Def worth spending 2-3 hours, should you stay in Bakuriani, counting a bit bumpy road on the way there. Historical note can be read in the books, and I’ve quite liked the aura of the place! Peaceful, meditating in its silence. The monastery itself has been under renovation but it doesn’t bother one. After spending time in the church itself, it’s nice visiting a church store to buy local/religious artifacts."

"Timotesubani Virgin Mary Monastery was built on the eve of the XII-XIII centuries in the village of Timotesubani, municipality of Borjomi. It was built by Shalva Eristavt-Eristavi Akhaltsikheli, the owner of the Tori.

The central temple is in the name of Virgin Mary and is Georgia's one of the most important monuments. The dome is decorated with azure bricks. The height of the temple (with a cross) is 28 meters, width -19 meters and length- 11 meters. The windows on the north wall are built up and painted. Temple painting dates back to the years 1205-1215 (epoch of Queen Tamar) and is unique. We can say that the painting of the temple is one of the most sophisticated for its era. Most of the frescoes survived to our days."
