"The brine spring of the Round Fountain was discovered in 1788 and developed for salt production. Since 1841, it has also been used as a medicinal spring and today also for inhalation. Its name refers to the fountain's round frame, which was unusual at the end of the 18th century.
Even today, the Round Fountain is considered a tourist attraction because of its intermittent, violent bubbling and then sinking again. Visitors can observe this spectacle through a glass dome. The brine spring can also be enjoyed while inhaling at the graduation tower or treading water in the Kneipp pool."

"A rather unassuming healing spring with the highest mineral content in all of Bad Kissingen. Discovered in 1788, the water has been used for various purposes. If I understand correctly, it now (since around 2015) supplies the adjacent graduation tower with its water (though I'm surprised if that's its only use).
The 90-meter-deep artesian well is covered with a plexiglass dome. Apparently, the water occasionally rises to the top under its own pressure and can thus be seen. The well is enclosed by a semicircular frame of iron bars. The structure isn't particularly attractive to me, but that's a matter of taste."
