"What a beautifully maintained Altstadt especially the last weekend of August during the Zunftmarkt. The towers provide majestic views of the village and surrounding farmscapes. The vendors are dressed in medieval clothing and demonstrate their skills and crafts at the market. Dress up for a discounted entrance fee. It was 9€ for adults and €6 for teens. Not an overly crowded event either."

"Bad Wimpfen or, until the middle of the 20th century, simply Wimpfen. The settlement existed here since prehistoric centuries, then there were the Celts, Romans, then the early and late Middle Ages. The old town is well preserved. There are plenty of parking options in and around the old town. So you can come and wander the old streets and look at the Neckar from the old city wall. Many historical events took place here, it is known that in the past this city was visited by many famous personalities of their time. From my point of view, the only drawback that we see in the city is gastronomy, which has been suffering a lot lately. But we hope that in the future the number of cafes and restaurants, as well as the quality of food, will noticeably improve."
