Reviews Summary

Visitors find the Franz Liszt Museum to be a small but incredibly informative and affordable destination, offering a dense collection of artifacts and insights into the composer's life. While the primary exhibit language is German and French, which can be a barrier for some, the friendly staff and low entry fee make it a worthwhile visit for music enthusiasts and families alike. Reddit

"A museum small but dense, informative and interesting enough even for a knowledgeable fan. Wagner’s letter to Liszt saying « Help me! Help me! Dear Liszt » was kinda funny 😆 The receptionist speaks a bit mandarin and has a great pronunciation. She has a really nice attitude and smiles a lot:)"

"Very good, informative museum, with lots of history and artefacts. It was very interesting to learn about his family and later life. And entry is only €2. Children under the age of 15 go for free."

Agnes Belle

"The staff is really nice, normal fare 2 eur and reduced is 1 eur, the small museum collects many stuff,
but if you don't speak either German or French, don't come.

I saw one review below saying "have some dignity and dont leave a negative review here, you don't go here to notice youre not home". Thats not true - when we go abroad, we visit museum to learn smth we can't learn at home or from school, isn't that the meaning of a museum? "warm and nice" is for a cafe.

Despite my words above, the collections are worth the fare. But Id pay more if the museum team could spend some effort making this museum readable for non-German speakers (speaking of that, the Liszt museum in Budapest is amazing at that)."
