What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Alt-Rixdorf is praised for its magical, village-like atmosphere and preserved historic architecture, offering a unique escape within Berlin. Visitors enjoy the charm of its courtyards and the festive spirit of events like the Christmas market. However, one review noted a negative experience with a film crew, highlighting potential privacy concerns.
"This is a very magical place.
However something pretty awful happened to us here. A film crew started filming my niece playing and we could not get the people responsible to delete the film and worse not get them tp understand that you can't just film a child without parental permission. The manager just didn't want to get involved. It was for a promotion for the place but even so the right procedure should have been followed. I wish wr could reassurance that they would not proceed with using the material.
It's a Shame as this has really ruined the garden for my family who live nearby and it had previously been a haven of tranquility. This would otherwise have been a very favourable review. 😔 😠"

"The former Czech Village. This small neighborhood preserves old houses with courtyards and small gardens, reminiscent of country estates. Ordinary people live there, and twice a year, in May and September, they allow everyone to enter their courtyards and admire them. Very unusual, these cozy village courtyards in the middle of Berlin!"
