Reviews Summary

Visitors praise the Bröhan Museum for its exquisite Art Nouveau and Art Deco collections, often describing it as a delightful and manageable museum experience akin to visiting a private home. The special exhibitions are also a highlight, offering unique perspectives. However, some note the inconvenience of not always being able to pay with card.

"If you like Art Nouveau/Jugendstil/Secessionist art and furniture, this museum is a delight. They also had another (potentially temporary) exhibition on the 3rd floor, which showed the work of an art collective, around the fall of the Berlin Wall. Really nice museum and it also doesn’t take too long to see everything so also suitable for those who don’t like spending hours in museum."

Mike Zimonyi

"A really nice but quite small museum.. it feels more like visiting a private house with 6 or 7 modestly sized rooms (instead of a full-on "museum" like the Pergamon or Neues Museum in Mitte).
(First Sunday of every month is "free entry museum day" in Berlin, so try it on a Sunday!) I went to see the Jugendstil exhibit in April 2024. Some very beautiful objects on display, with excellent historical notes. It's also fun to go just to get a view of the massive Schloss Charlottenburg, which is the real "main attraction" in this array of older buildings."

Daniel Wang

"Great collection focused on a very narrow place and time- late 19th and early 20th century Europe. They do a nice job of connecting the dots for the influences on Art Nouveau and Modernism, and directions that art and design took from these movements."
