What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Travelers praise City Sightseeing Berlin for its fantastic staff, comprehensive routes, and good value for money. The ability to hop on and off allows for flexible exploration, and the evening tour is a highlight. Some wish for charging ports and clearer policies on personal drinks.
"I would say the only way to see a city where u know no one is one of these tours
The staff were fantastic! Very hospitality, knowledgeable and attentive to your needs.
I had a day pass; used it for a full tour in the morning then did a somewhat of a pub crawl in the afternoon!!! Loved it! Well worth the money.
Would like to have brought some of my beers on board though 🤣
Shout out to Fahim at station 2 where I started….Thanks for setting me up!!!"

"What great energy!! Waji is so fun of good vibes, that we instantly felt like friends. Berlin has some beautiful spots, and is great to experience by bus, especially on closer days. Would recommend!!"

"I compared multiple provideers and decided that this is better than others in terms of price.
You can choose only route A (west side) for 20 euros, or A+B (west and east) for 25. There are other combo offers as well (extra 1 hour cruise for 39 total, or add Madame Tussauds entry etc). The maximum route covered in this bus is zoo to east side gallery. Route A takes 2 hour approx and route B around 1.5 hours.
If you board at an initial point, you'll get a chance to be seated in first floor front seats, which are great for viewing the city in a different way. The stops are generally the same as public transport stops, so no need to worry on where to board.
You can install their app and track live location so that you can plan to board next bus. A new bus comes every 20-25 minutes.
in summer days, they keep the top open, but it's covered in October cold conditions and they provided heating as well. They give a use and throw headset for the audio guide while boarding every time. You can connect it at every seat. You can change audio language too.
A day ticket for Berlin public transport costs about 10.5 and it's valid for 24 hours. This sightseeing ticket costs about 25 for A and B routes, but it's operated only between 9:30 AM to maximum 6 PM.
If they can provide charging ports, it would be better, as it can help many tourists. Also, the buses go only in one direction: 1 to 2, 2 to 3 and so on. There are no buses in reverse direction, so we have to plan our day accordingly if we take this bus."

Navigating Berlin's Routes
It's important to note that the buses operate in a one-way direction for each route. This means you'll need to plan your day accordingly, hopping off at points of interest and then catching the next bus to continue along the designated path. The company's app is invaluable for tracking the live location of buses, helping you minimize waiting times and efficiently plan your itinerary.
For those seeking a different perspective, guided bike tours are also a popular option, allowing for a more intimate exploration of the city's streets and hidden gems. Additionally, an evening city tour provides a magical experience, showcasing Berlin illuminated after dark, often with an optional dinner.
Maximizing Your Experience with Tickets and Passes
Travelers often recommend boarding at the initial stops of a route. This strategy not only increases your chances of securing a prime seat on the front row of the upper deck, offering superior views, but also ensures you get a fresh audio guide headset. The audio guide itself is a valuable tool, available in multiple languages and delivered via disposable headsets provided at each seat, enhancing your understanding of the sights.
While the buses are a fantastic way to see the city, remember that they operate within specific hours, generally from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM. The evening tour has its own schedule. It's also worth noting that charging ports are not a standard feature on the buses, so keeping your devices powered up is essential for navigation and capturing memories.
Community Insights and Practical Tips
When it comes to comfort, the buses adapt to the seasons. In summer, the top is kept open for an immersive experience, while in October, the top is covered, and heating is provided, ensuring a pleasant journey regardless of the weather. However, some travelers have noted that charging ports are not available, so ensuring your phone is fully charged is a good tip.
For those who enjoy a bit of spontaneity, the hop-on hop-off nature allows for a flexible itinerary. One reviewer even mentioned using their day pass as a springboard for an afternoon pub crawl, demonstrating how the bus can integrate with other activities. While you can't bring your own drinks on board, the evening tour sometimes includes dinner, adding a dining element to your sightseeing.
