What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Funkturm for its affordable entry, breathtaking panoramic views, and a more relaxed, uncrowded atmosphere compared to other city towers. The Art Nouveau restaurant adds a unique charm. Some find the surrounding area less appealing, but the overall experience is highly recommended for its value and scenic beauty.
"You would not expect this, but they do totally accept credit card. Although the controller did not speak English well, he was an extremely polite and welcoming older gentleman. I went close to the closing time, but there was no rush and no pressure, so I had an opportunity to spend around 25-30 minutes on the top of the tower and enjoy the view. The entry was 8 euro and is 4 euro for concession customers. On top of the tower, there are both an outdoors and an indoors spaces, so you would still have the opportunity to have a good time if it’s cold. There are pictures of the skyline listing most important sights, although the descriptions are only in German.
I was there on Sunday evening, and there were only three other people (a couple and an older gentleman with a flask), so it was really atmospheric and empty. The perspective itself is breathtaking and just the right height, as Berlin is not a city with a lot of landscape or tall sights, so everything would have been tiny and boring at a greater height, but you still get to enjoy the views of the entire city and even the rows of wind turbines on the hills surrounding the city."

"After driving past the tower for years, I’m glad I finally stopped and went up it. Costs £8, which seems reasonable compared to other viewing points in capital cities. Perhaps not the most amazing views but that’s Berlin for you."
Tom Beck
"The views from it are great on a clear day, the location is another thing as it's in a industrial park next to conference centre that makes the NEC look good 😲 and at 8 euros 🤔"
