Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise the German Museum of Technology for its vast and diverse collection, particularly its impressive displays of historic trains, aircraft, and engines. The interactive elements are a hit with families, making it an engaging experience for all ages. Some visitors note that the sheer size can be overwhelming, and recommend allocating ample time to fully appreciate the exhibits.

"This museum is amazing, it is jam-packed with planes, trains, automobiles, ships, in all kinds of interesting technology.

We only had 2 hours, so we sort of ran out of time and didn't get to read a lot. But if you are someone who is into technology and mechanics, I recommend 3 to 4 hours to really be able to dive in and read some of the plaques.

Highly recommended of you are in Berlin."

"Great experience for the whole family. Best to get first thing in the morning as there is a lot to see. The outside display of gathered trains is very impressive and amazing at the same time as you can spend a lot of time outdoors, where kids can run freely. There is also a small canteen where coffee and bagels can be ordered among other things. Plan your visit in advance to maximise the time spent in the museum. It can be easily turned into a whole day trip. Thoroughly recommend."

Szymon Bakowski

"Wow!! What a huge and amazing museum! I guarantee there is an interesting exhibition for any person out there! The sugar/beets exhibit was surprisingly cool and the boats exhibit is breathtaking! Many interactive things and cool stuff for kids! There is a picnic area indoors at every floor( I believe outdoors too) and many chairs around (plus portable folding chairs that people can take along). Definitely bring snacks and water from home!! and allocate 3-4 hours so you can hopefully see almost all exhibitions. Truly worth it, will definitely come once more to finish seeing the parts I didn’t have time for!"
