"Went to it as soon as it opened, during the weekend, staff was incredibly polite and helpful. Incredible that it was completely free to enter. A lot of interesting and amazing planes were up on display. Also an interesting, educational and emotional temporary showcase about the east and west German missions to Ethiopia. The amount of aircraft on display was amazing and the ones parked outside had suprisingly good paint quality for being outside. Was kinda sad that they didn't have any sort of gift shop so i could bring home more than just the memories, photos and a map of the airfield.
Amazing experience all in all, not too crowded when you arrive at opening hours, tooke me about 4 hrs to go through all of the displays. Be aware that there is quite a lot of walking and no store selling snacks/food on the museum grounds"

Specifically if you live in Spandau, then merely an hour via public transport and 40 mins via car! It's a must visit place! The life size real planes are surreal! But yes, if your not a history buff then you might not like it!"
