What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Reviews highlight the incredibly cheap drinks and the vibrant, social atmosphere of Berlin's poetry slams, making them a top choice for a budget-friendly night out. However, some visitors note that smoking is allowed indoors, which can be a significant drawback for non-smokers, and the abrupt enforcement of no-photo policies can detract from the experience.
"I went to this bar with a few friends and we were having a really good time — nice atmosphere, good drinks, and a chill vibe overall. At one point, we wanted to take a quick group selfie at our table (important to note that not a single stranger would appear at our photo), just to capture the moment.
While we were taking the photo, some random guy in a grey hoodie (who seemed to just be another guest, not staff) suddenly started putting his hand in front of our camera without saying anything. After a few seconds, he just said “no pictures.”
We live in Berlin, so we know that some bars have a no-photos policy — and we completely respect that. If we’d seen a sign or if someone had politely mentioned it, we would’ve stopped immediately. What bothered us wasn’t the rule itself, but the way it was communicated. The abrupt and rude approach really killed the vibe for a moment and left everyone feeling uncomfortable.
It’s a shame, because otherwise it seemed like a really fun place. A little more respectful communication would’ve made a huge difference.
Also, the bar was extremely smoky from cigarettes, which made it hard to stay inside for too long.
Overall I only give 2 stars because of the price which was fine but I would not recommend or come back."

"I got absolutely wrecked and it was glorious
Walked in sober, walked out… let’s just say I wasn’t walking very straight. Drinks were way too good and way too cheap.
I lost count of the drinks, lost my dignity somewhere near the bathroom, but found pure happiness.
10/10. Will destroy my liver here again."

"Good vibe, foosball table. They allow smoking which would be an issue for some but we didn't mind. Less than 9 euros for three beers."
