"The observatory in Bochum is small but well put together. The relics of Dr. Kaminsky, radio transmitters and machines are in great conditions. I find it to be a great show case of Dr. Kaminski’s innovation and genius. Most of the displays are in German. I was really inspired by his accomplishments; after my visit I did a little more research. I’m really glad that Dr. Kaminski made something important and that he shared his passion with the younger generations. He rallied the city to support his vision of building an observatory. You should definitely visit the observatory and soak in a moment of history in the Ruhr area."

"A truly unusual facility. Originally started as a private initiative, everything now looks very professional. Beneath the large dome, there are exhibitions on space travel and, amazingly, on the Opel plant in Bochum. There's also an extensive continuing education program for all ages. Go!"
