Reviews Summary

Duhnen Beach offers a unique landscape with expansive mudflats at low tide and beautiful sunset views. However, visitors often note the beach access fee and the prevalence of rented chairs, which can detract from the experience for some. The muddy conditions at low tide and dog restrictions are also points to consider.

"It is a nice place to visit but overrated. If you want to walk with your dog you are not allowed to walk on the side of the beach only on the Damm or at the doggy beach. If you don't have accommodation in the are and you don't have your guest card you have to pay 4.5€ in order to enter the beach."

Ioana Iancu

"It's a nice beach with soft sand and beautiful views, especially during sunset. However, I was a bit surprised to find that there's a fee of €4.20 per person just to access the beach. It was very crowded when I visited, which made it a bit less relaxing. During low tide, the water recedes far out and the beach becomes quite muddy — something to keep in mind if you're expecting a classic beach day. Still, it's a unique experience and worth a visit if you're in the area."

Shema Biswas

"These locations are often scenic and serene, offering a unique blend of sand, sea, and rolling dunes.
One of the unique aspects of this beach is its ever-changing landscape, influenced by the tides. I highly recommend checking the tide schedule before your visit. At low tide, the beach stretches far out, revealing vast mudflats perfect for exploring or taking a leisurely stroll. However, during high tide, the sea comes in closer, creating perfect conditions for swimming. Being aware of the tide times ensures you get the best experience, whether you want to swim, explore the tidal flats, or just enjoy the view.

Overall, Dune Beach in Cuxhaven offers a beautiful and serene setting, making it a must-visit destination. Just remember to check the tide times to make the most of your experience!"
