What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Kiefernstraße is celebrated as an underrated gem, offering a vibrant and colorful street art experience on a residential street. Visitors praise the amazing, imaginative murals that bring life to the area, creating a unique atmosphere. However, some note its compact size and location on the outskirts of the city center.
"An underrated tourist place. I highly recommend a stroll along this street.
Although caution, you may have to go a little to the outskirts of Dusseldorf for this."
Disha Mandaliya
"This is tricky to review because it is free to go and it is a regular street that people live on. The work itself is amazing and the community seemed to be please to see me admiring their buildings. It is only one street though and it takes 5-10 minutes to walk down it and take your pictures - I couldn't see any other reason to be around this particular part of town as a tourist. There are information posters around and the community itself seems to be one that looks after itself with a community resource bank (pictured) and a friendly vibe about the place. If I had my way, every street in the world would have buildings that look like this. I've attached photos, but they really don't do justice to the works on show."

"It is so cool to see so many wall paintings in an about 10-15 minutes walk. Those are all residential buildings. The street arts are colorful, imaginary and lovely. They bring life to this otherwise deserted area."

The art ranges from large-scale murals to intricate graffiti, reflecting a diverse range of styles and messages. It's a testament to how art can revitalize and give character to a neighborhood.
Today, Kiefernstraße is recognized as a significant street art destination in Düsseldorf. While the original squatting scene has evolved, the spirit of creativity and community remains. Visitors can explore the street and witness this living art project, appreciating the blend of history, culture, and artistic talent that makes it so special.
