The first impression upon arrival is impressive: the imposing sandstone facade, the high windows, and the finely crafted details – everything exudes history without appearing dated. The interior is just as impressive. The wedding hall itself is bright, spacious, yet cozy. The high ceilings, the classic decorations, and the fine furnishings create an ambiance that's both festive and inviting. Whether you're hosting a small, intimate gathering or a few more guests – the space is so flexible that every wedding feels special here.
For me as a photographer, the Altes Stadthaus is a true find, even beyond the wedding hall. Directly in front of the building, you'll find the beautiful Friedensplatz (Peace Square), perfect for elegant and emotional couple photos. And if you're looking for a more modern contrast, you'll find urban backdrops nearby – the city's architecture and narrow alleys offer a wide variety of photo opportunities. Especially around the square, there are so many beautiful corners that you won't have to walk far to get a variety of shots.
Another thing I love about this venue is the atmosphere. Despite the central location and the impressive architecture, the entire process on your wedding day never feels too hectic or overly busy. The registry office team on site is incredibly welcoming and ensures that every moment has your personal touch. This makes it all the more enjoyable for me to capture these special moments for you.
