Visitors consistently praise the Florianturm for its magnificent panoramic views of Dortmund and the surrounding industrial landscape, noting the quick elevator ride to the top. The adjacent Westfalenpark is also a significant draw, offering a beautiful space for strolls and family activities. While staff English proficiency can be a minor issue, the overall experience is highly recommended for its spectacular aerial perspectives and value.
"Definitely a place to visit.
✅Magnificent view from the tower.
✅You can go up quickly with the elevator.
✅The park is also worth seeing.
✅You can enter with a family (2 adults, max 4 children) by buying a combi ticket, only 13.50
⚠️ It is not a big problem that the staff does not know/speak English.
✅If you are lucky, you can find free parking for your car at the entrance."

"Where I usually refrain from visiting such places, since usually the view is so so mostly on some rooftops, because of the lack of better attractions in Dortmund and because it's an integral part of a park for which you have to pay. It turned out to be one of the highlight points. Because it's not in the city center not only you can see Dortmund, but all of the industrial parks around it and the whole area."
Maciej Polakowski
"Really amazing place with great surrounding park area for enjoying a nice stroll.
The entry price is about 3 to 5 euros, so not much at all to enjoy spectacular aerial views of the city of Dortmund. You can also see the BVB stadium from this place, so feel free to venture at any time of the day and take as many pics, vids, panoramas, instagrams and showcase your work to your mates or to the public.
The place is simple to reach via U-Bahn (subway or underground) metro and the station has signs to direct you to the Florianturm.
I would highly recommend this place if you want to see aerial views of Dortmund. There are other rooftop bars and restaurants available but this one is spectacular."

The Florianturm: A Dortmund Icon
The tower is situated within the expansive Westfalenpark, a beloved green space in Dortmund. This park is a destination in itself, featuring diverse themed gardens, playgrounds, water features, and even a miniature railway. The combination of the tower's commanding views and the park's recreational offerings makes the Florianturm a popular spot for both locals and tourists looking for a day out.
Recent efforts are underway to revitalize the gastronomic offerings within the tower, aiming to bring back its appeal as a vibrant venue for cafes, events, and rooftop bar experiences. This initiative seeks to re-establish the Florianturm as a central attraction, blending its historical significance with modern leisure activities.

While the tower itself is the main photographic subject from afar, the Westfalenpark also presents numerous picturesque scenes. The diverse gardens, water features, and seasonal floral displays offer ample opportunities for nature and landscape photography. The combination of the tower and the park provides a rich portfolio for any photographer visiting Dortmund.
