What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Dresden Zoo is widely praised for its diverse animal collection and naturalistic enclosures, offering a pleasant and educational experience for visitors of all ages. While generally well-maintained, some reviewers noted that a few areas might be undergoing renovation or appear a bit dated. Despite minor points, the zoo is considered a worthwhile visit for its engaging exhibits and family-friendly atmosphere.
"Very nice Zoo well worth visiting! Went there last Sunday with family, easy to spent whole day here as there is plenty to see - be it good variety of animals or live music playing on several spots and add food&snacks stalls within walking distance from any exhibition or playground for little ones, making it quite convenient for all ages. Despite how busy this place was it is surprisingly tidy. Some pavilions were shut, however all things considered we will be more than happy to come back again!"

"I like zoo’s. This one is quite nice too, maybe a bit shabby and quite a few of the cages/spaces were empty. It is clear they had to make choices, and I like those choices. They built a huge orang utang building, for just a very few of these wonderful creatures. Also there is a nice underground place where common rats and mice are to be seen, including sewers and tunnels and several little rooms. The flamingo’s are wonderful, they have a nice island with several nest towers to stand on. The food is fine, staff is friendly."

The zoo is clean, well-organized, and perfect for families or anyone who loves nature and wildlife. There are plenty of shaded areas, cozy spots to relax, and informative boards that make the experience even more enjoyable. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the animals look well cared for. Definitely a must-visit if you’re in Dresden!”"
