"On this lovely, mostly sunny & crisp "pre-autumn" day, the estate was beautiful to walk around in, and the small "Japanese" houses in the park are beautifully restored. At the palace entrance, the restaurant/cafe (opposite the museum ticket & shop entrance), in an older room with an arched ceiling & pillars, was a pleasant spot to visit for afternoon Kaffee und Kuchen (reasonably priced €23 for 2 cappuccinos & 2 pieces of cake), with very friendly & humorous staff waiting on us."
Thomas E III Lavell
"Beautifully landscaped castle. The gardens are beautiful to visit throughout the year. There is a small beer garden, a terraced café and restaurant. Dogs are permitted in the park on a lead. Parking is available for a small fee. A wonderful venue for different events."
Katie Freidhof
"Beautiful palace, interesting guided tour (in German only). Picture taking not allowed. Poor toilets, restaurant closed due to a private party, while the reception had informed us that it was open. Biergarten with poor service."
