What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Kleine Synagoge for its poignant exhibition on local Jewish families and the preserved historical elements, including an excavated mikvah. It's described as a beautiful building in a significant location, offering a moving experience and a chance to reflect on tragic history. Some note it's a small exhibition but deeply impactful.
"If you get a ticket to the Old Synagogue, you can enter this one as well. This synagogue wasn't destroyed by the Nazis because it didn't look like a synagogue in those times (they destroyed the Great Synagogue). You can read and look at pictures about various families in that area. Some people survived, others didn't. You can also see a mikvah that was excavated. Glad Erfurt City has preserved this synagogue and is discussing the tragic history."
