What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Molsdorf Palace is appreciated for its beautiful, antic castle and especially its vast, well-kept park with statues and fountains. Visitors consistently praise the friendly and nice guides. However, some find the interior exhibition brief for the cost, suggesting expectations should be managed regarding the size of the museum.
"Beautiful antic castle
The exhibition is only about the second floor and includes 4 rooms
The restaurant is based on the first floor of the building
The woman guide is unbelievably nice 😊
The park by the castle is huge and speechless"

"Beautiful place, guided tour every full hour"

"The advertising and official video led us to expect more than the house and museum actually provides. It is possible to visit the art exhibition and the grounds without an entry charge. There is plenty of free parking and the bus stop at the end of line 51 in front of the entrance. Unless you have the Erfurt Card entry costs 6euros for a 20-minute guided tour of a handful of rooms. As the tours begin on the hour we were expecting more lengthy explanations or at least more time to look around the fascinating interior. The windows with the best view of the grounds were being repaired at the time of our visit. In the grounds the statues, fountains and exterior have all seen better days. This place could have much more to offer."
