Reviews Summary

The Historische S-Bahn Berlin events, especially the Open Day, are highly praised for their impressive collection of historic trains and the opportunity for rides. Visitors appreciate the volunteer effort and the family-friendly atmosphere with amenities like playgrounds. However, some guests have reported issues with unfriendly staff, payment difficulties, and organizational hiccups, leading to a mixed experience for a few.

"Very nicely arranged exhibition in a workshop. Also with old trains and music / dance performances."

Vasudeva Bhat

"It's crazy. Their "fest" seemed like nothing more than a couple of kiosks, music and clowns. There was a huge line to enter. The ticket was 8€ and actually (as I understood only coming there) it was not the same ticket as for historical bus and tram rides. Everyone was super unfriendly when I wanted to buy a ticket with my card. They kept mumbling something on a heavy dialect through the crowd noise so I couldn't understand a thing and they just kept sending me to one another. I decided to leave because I didn't want to stay in this hostile environment. It's still Berlin but it felt like the worst GDR village. Good luck with such an attitude. You are interesting only for a couple of gradpas and rural families with children with such an approach. It's a bad joke."

Aleksey Romanov

"A brilliantly prepared event, not just for S-Bahn enthusiasts. The number and quality of exhibits is fantastic; you can touch them, go inside them, and even ride some of them. Plus, there's a full food court, shops, music, and a playground for children – it's a fantastic experience!"
