Reviews Summary

Schulerloch Cave offers a fascinating glimpse into geological time with impressive stalactites and stalagmites. Visitors appreciate the unique 'forgotten senses' experience in darkness and the engaging digital show at the end. However, the tour is primarily in German, and the uphill walk to the entrance requires moderate fitness.

"A short walk from the parking spot leads us to these beautiful caves. In winter it's full of bats and is closed. But we happened upon it in summer when they were giving tours. It's a short tour of centuries old stalactites and stalagmites with a projector show that gives a brief history of time from the context of the caves. They also turned off the lights for a minute, which was a crash course on our forgotten senses.
Highly recommended with a jacket."

"Best cave seen so far - very well maintained but (too) short walk inside. German speaking only guide. The laser show at the end is great!
You need to walk (25-30^) ca. 10 mins from the parking area until reaching the entrance but there are great views and seats if you need do a pause.
The buffet area has big portions and high prices, but good quality - also, nice seating area outside.
Last but not least, cash only! EC not accepted."

"the cave is actually big enough to cater a big bunch of guests. stalactites and stalagmites not yet the longer ones, would need a few million years to get to that. but the natural water basin is a real highlight and only one in the world. i find it nice that we had a moment when all light were shut off to enjoy the sound of the water drops. and one needs a little bit of imagination to visualize water flowing thru the natural canals creating a water fall at one corner in the cave. the digital show in the cathedral at the end of the tour was fantastic, great to end the tour."
