What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors often praise Roseninsel for its peaceful atmosphere and beautiful rose gardens, making it a lovely summer experience. However, some find the island to be quite small and the combined cost of the ferry and villa tour to be a bit high for the limited attractions offered. The historic villa, while interesting, has limited accessible rooms.
"It was really a great experience. The ferry operators were nice and helpful. The island itself is so beautiful and peaceful. It is a nice summer experience."

"The most disappointing thing I ever paid for. Few bushes of roses, takes 5 minutes to see it all."
Karolina Kaušylaitė
"Small island with a minor example of 19th century romanticism and 20th century policing (a heavy set security guard with a megaphone) profiting from the UNESCO world heritage site surrounding the island (not the island itself). If roses are to your liking, the rose garden might be nice, the main building, the so-called "casino", is a bit of an awkward historicising backdrop for ducks and tourists alike.
The boat to the island is 5 eur, the guided tour for the "casino" 4 eur (only two mostly bare rooms accessible). Most parking comes with an additional fee."
