What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Feuchtwangen Cloister is a place of historical interest, particularly noted for its Romanesque church and charming half-timbered houses. While the Cloister Plays are a significant draw, visitors should be aware of potential closures for events or restoration, limited dining options, and possible construction. The storks on the roofs are a delightful, unexpected highlight.
"This place is worth a visit, but not a must-see. The cloister was closed, and there were construction sites everywhere. About five half-timbered houses, one church, and one market square—that's it. The highlight was the storks on the roof. The photos paint a much nicer picture than the place actually is. Finding a place to eat after 2 p.m. is nearly impossible; there's only one snack bar. Oh, and the tourist information office was very friendly and helpful, but you don't need them for this place. Sorry, Feuchtwangen."

"We saw the children's play "Detective Kalle Blomqist," and we were, and still are, absolutely thrilled. Great location and great actors 😄😄"
Michele Heidtke
"I couldn't see the cloister because it was under restoration, but I did admire the church, especially its Romanesque portal with its paintings. The interior is austere, with a large crucifix. It's certainly much more interesting than the Church of San Juan, which is right next door."
