A letter from the danish bishop Tycho von Aarhus has mentioned the church in the year 1284 for the first time .
He stated in this letter that the inhabitants had started to build the church in a gothic style.
In the following centuries 3 new "rooms" where added to the exsiting church.
It was a pitty that we could not enter the church as a concert preparation were in progress."
