Has anyone done one of the German Camino / Jakobsweg?
I walked from Mainz to Fulda on the Bonifatiusweg 3 years ago. There were no albergues like in Spain. But there was a hotel or private accommodation on the way. Because I was low on budget I dis wild camping most of the time.

This statue is only a few hundred feet from the Cathedral, in fact! Fulda is in many ways the heart of German Catholicism, a reality which emanates from the fact that Saint Boniface is widely regarded as the Apostle of the German speaking lands, an Anglo-Saxon missionary from Southern England who did much to spread the Gospel across Germany.
