What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the AlpspiX viewing platform for its absolutely breathtaking and awe-inspiring panoramic mountain and valley views, often describing it as a highlight of their trip. The sheer scale and beauty of the landscape are frequently mentioned as unforgettable. However, some visitors with a fear of heights found the cantilevered platforms to be quite intimidating.
"First time in my life going up this high. I have a fear of heights but in a very specific way.
Tip if you do too:
Do NOT get on the Alpspix platforms.
...But otherwise it was very nice! I enjoyed the views a lot and I would love to come back here one day."
Tobias Bonthuis (Adinias)
"When planning our trip to Garmisch-Partenkirchen, I was initially hesitant about spending the money to ride up the mountain—but it was absolutely worth it. The sheer scale of the mountains and the breathtaking views from the top are impossible to fully appreciate until you’re there. I took dozens of photos, but none of them truly capture the experience—this is something you need to see for yourself.
We chose to hike back down, and the trails were clearly marked and well maintained. Our goal was to reach the Partnach Gorge, but a trail closure due to a damaged bridge forced us to take a 1.5-mile detour. If you're planning to hike, I recommend checking ahead for any trail closures so you can adjust your route as needed.
This was a highlight of our trip and something I’d recommend to anyone visiting the area."

"Breathtaking experience and vistas. We were completely in awe. Felt like we were in heaven. Others must have felt it too as everyone up there seemed to be making an effort to stay as quiet as possible, as if not wanting to disrupt the peace and quiet. Must visit if skies are clear."
