What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Partnach Gorge itself is universally praised for its stunning natural beauty and dramatic scenery. However, the experience at the Partnachalm restaurant is frequently marred by overwhelmingly negative feedback regarding extremely rude staff and poor hospitality, overshadowing the otherwise beautiful location.
"What a delightful day we had , hiking with our nine month old baby. Reaching the restaurant and finding it’s absolutely rammed (no problem, it happens !). I then asked a woman who worked there if we could buy two waters to go, and she shouted at me and told me to go . Nice woman. What friendly service . They clearly enjoy the hospitality business ."
Louise O'Neill
"Staff inexplicably gave incorrect information about the surrounding hiking trails (???). Probably she just didn’t care at all.
We also asked for payment alternatives to cash, whereupon we were rudely told to ask other guests for cash and to stop bothering the staff. Very arrogant and not at all hospitable.
Too bad, actually a great alp. But you rely far too much on the beauty of the surrounding nature."
Lars
"1 star for the view only. We visited to get a few drinks after climbing up from the gorge. We went inside to order but were shouted at to leave the ‘bar’ area. We asked for some water - the waitress was horrified that we were only going to buy water and go. We told her we also wanted some beers. She turned her back and ignored us. We were then rudely told by a waiter that we would have to wait for some water. I’d initially thought it was a language barrier, but they are clearly just very rude people who aren’t interested in hospitality or making money. We left without spending a cent."
