"Schloss Friedenstein is a very large castle but one only gets to see a small portion of it. The castle has seen better days and needs some serious renovation. However, what you do get to see is worth going for. Several rooms have beautiful decor and furnishing. The entrance fee is also very reasonable. There is a restaurant on the castle ground but it was unfortunately closed when we were there."
