"Great and divers hiking trails through the forest and up the mountain.
Also great to continue hike to the Wasserkuppe for a longer hike ca. 10km (1 way) from their.
Parking lot enough and for free.
We combines the trail 4 with trail 2 and it was a good hike for around 10km."

"The name Milseburg conjures up images of knights, ruins, and rustic medieval charm. You might picture battlements, towers, damsels, and perhaps even a bored little dragon blowing on tourists.
Well… surprise: the castle apparently retired centuries ago. What remains is a pile of stones, a lovely circular trail, and a view so magnificent that you almost forget the lack of a castle.
You could say: Milseburg is the Apple product of the mountains—little substance, but beautiful design. Everything is minimalist, clean, and aesthetically pleasing. Anyone looking for ancient walls will be disappointed. But anyone simply seeking fresh air, peace and quiet, and a panorama that feels like a real-life filter has hit the jackpot.
The circular trail? A dream. Always beautiful, never boring, and with every step you think: Okay, this really deserves an Instagram spot. Hardly any people, no selfie sticks, no crowds—almost suspiciously idyllic. You'd think you'd accidentally stumbled into a postcard.
And the view! No matter where you stand, you can see what feels like half of Hesse. On a clear day, you could probably even see as far as Italy (or at least it feels that way). It's one of those places where you stop, take a deep breath, and think, "Yeah, this is definitely better than Netflix."
The fact that there are hardly any people around is the biggest luxury of all. No kids shouting, "Are we there yet?" No hiking groups drowning out everything with their 95-decibel conversations. Just you, the wind, and the occasional other hiker nodding knowingly, as if to say: Yes, we're among the chosen few who get to experience the Milseburg without the crowds.
The Milseburg proves that you don't need a castle to hike like royalty. Not much of a castle, but plenty of beauty, a picture-perfect circular path, and finally a place where you can still hear nature – apart from your own panting on the climb. In short: A castle that isn't really a castle, but still gets everything right. 👑🏞️"
