"I've been here twice now. 2016 and November 2025. It's a fantastic stadium to visit and is just a short train ride from Cologne.
The security on my second visit were quite thorough. The guy who checked me down wanted to confiscate my small phone charger but relented after I complained to a higher authority. Making people throw out phone chargers is just dumb.
Inside the ground, there is a lot of moderately priced food. I didn't buy anything myself but from what I saw being munched on around me, it looked ok.
There probably isn't a bad view in the entire stadium. For groundhoppers like myself, it's one of the better German stadiums.
Tickets for league fixtures tend to be available in the days leading into the match. Both time I have been, tickets were not a problem. If you are planning on attending, try and get there early and take a walk around the stadium. It's a great design and, whilst not being huge, it holds a modest crowd and has a cracking atmosphere."

The stadium is compact, and I suspect that there is not a bad seat anywhere in it. The atmosphere on the day of my visit was great, and I was surrounded by very nice people in the section I sat in."
